Learn to use a breadboard, a soldering iron and build a digital clock.

This is a 2 hours long basic electronics workshop for absolute beginners and hobbyists. If you are interested in making simple DIY kits for hobby, then, this is the right course for you. The course is suitable for children and adults.

While building the projects, you will learn the basic electronics theories, basic electronic components, making simple projects on a breadboard and soldering DIY Kits.

You will learn how to use an LED, diode, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, seven segment display, soldering iron, etc.

YOU WILL BUILD THIS:

Learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop students will:

  • Build their own digital clock.
  • Build NE555 timer based blinker and dark sensor on a breadboard
  • Be able to build simple projects on a breadboard
  • Be able to solder various kinds of DIY electronic kits
  • Identify and use basic electronic components, like resistors, capacitors, transistors, ICs, diodes, switches, etc.
  • Be able to use a basic multimeter
  • Take away all the built projects.

Projects during the workshop

1. Dark sensor / Light sensor and Heat sensor- Breadboard project

In this project, you will build a simple light/dark sensor and modify the project to make it work as a heat sensor. We will make all on a breadboard. The objective of this experiment is to learn how to use a breadboard. Students will take away all the components required to build this project.

2. Astable and monostable mode of NE555- Breadboard project

In this project, you will build a simple touch switch and an LED blinker. The object of this experiment is to understand NE555 timer IC and learn how to use a breadboard. We will modify the project to build a sound generator. Students will take away all the components required to build this project.

3. Digital clockSoldering and assembly project

In this project, you will build a simple digital clock. Students will take away the soldered kit.

Components package: What will the students take away ?

  • All the components required to build dark/light sensor, heat sensor, NE555 based projects and digital clock.
  • All the built projects.
  • 1 x Half-size Breadboard
  • 1 x Wires set
  • 1 x Battery holder
  • 1 x LED set
  • 1 x Resistors set
  • 1 x Capacitors set

NOTE: Students won’t take away the multimeter and the soldering station. 

NOTE: We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule the course due to unforeseen circumstances. If the course is cancelled, we will refund 100% to participants.
The venue of the training is subject to changes due to class size and availability of the classroom.
The minimal class size to start a class is 2 students.
